Program Information
This program offers financial assistance to eligible First Nations homeowners to improve the safety, quality, and energy efficiency of their homes.
What You Get
- Financial assistance for repairs or upgrades, including those that address energy efficiency, heating, plumbing, and structural repairs – up to $60,000 for each unit.
- This includes major or emergency repairs, accessibility modifications, secondary/garden suites, conversion projects, and affordability measures.
Eligibility Criteria
- First Nations individuals living on-reserve in Canada.
- Homeowners must meet specific income and need-based criteria.
- The home must be on-reserve and the repairs must align with program guidelines.
Important Notes
- If your property is located on-reserve in northern or remote areas or if the project includes accessibility work for Persons with Disabilities or minor adaptations for Seniors, the maximum funding amount may be increased by 25%.
- The financial support is provided in the form of a contribution. This means that the funds do not need to be repaid.
